Director-Tyler Hutchinson
Tyler is a JD candidate at Osgoode Hall Law School and a graduate of Saint Mary’s University with a BA in Economics and Political Science. While at Saint Mary’s, Tyler chaired the Students’ Association, served on the Board of Governors and Academic Senate, and worked as a research assistant and teaching assistant.
Informed by his experiences growing up in Hantsport, Tyler is passionate about the issues of rural economic development, food security, and especially adult education. He has previously volunteered as a tutor for adults working towards their high school equivalencies and continues to serve on Literacy Nova Scotia’s Board of Directors.
Tyler is part of the sixth generation of his family to grow up in the greater Hantsport area, and deeply appreciates the opportunity to serve rural Nova Scotians as part of the Rural Communities Foundation of Nova Scotia team. In his spare time, he can be found reading, hiking, or watching a Leafs game with friends.
