2026 Matching Campaign : Joan Feynman Climate Change Fund

Together we can raise $80,000 for climate solutions

Every donation received betwen January 15 and April 15 of 2026 will be matched, up to $40,000, by a local family who deeply believes in rural Nova Scotia’s leadership on climate solutions!

Double Your Impact ONLY Until April 15!

HERE’S WHAT THIS MEANS: Between now and April 15, every gift you make will be matched dollar-for-dollar. Your $100 becomes $200. Your $500 becomes $1,000. Your $1,000 becomes $2,000 for community-led climate action.

WHY THIS MATTERS: Rural and coastal Nova Scotia communities are on the frontlines of climate change—facing sea level rise, intensifying storms, and ecological shifts. But these same communities are also leading the way with creative, innovative solutions. The Joan Feynman Climate Change Fund provides micro-grants ($2,000 for youth projects, $5,000 for adult-led initiatives) that turn climate ideas into action.

Susan Hirshberg sharing about the hopes of the Fund named for her mother.

Dr. Joan Feynman (1927-2020)

A pioneering astrophysicist, Dr. Feynman demonstrated that human civilization depends on climate stability.

Her daughter Susan, a Halifax resident, created this fund because Joan believed in the power of people to solve big problems.

We think she'd be incredibly proud of what Nova Scotia communities are accomplishing.
